Our Mission & Purpose
Shiroro exists to help people discover and support genuine small
businesses in the Shiroro community — shops, services, food vendors,
artisans, mechanics, salons, and more.
Important: Shiroro is an
admin-curated directory. Only the Shiroro admin team
can add, edit, or remove business listings. Users cannot post, submit,
or claim businesses.
1. Business Inclusion Standards
We only feature businesses that meet the following criteria:
- Physically located in or very near the Shiroro community
- Primarily owned and operated by local residents
-
Offer real products or services (no middlemen, aggregators, or fake
listings)
- Have a verifiable physical address or known operating location
-
Operate legally and ethically (no illegal, harmful, or deceptive
activities)
-
Maintain basic standards of hygiene, safety, and customer respect
(where applicable)
- Be willing to be contacted/visited by community members
We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time if it no longer
meets these standards or if we receive credible reports of serious
issues.
2. Prohibited Content & Practices
The following will never be featured and may result in permanent removal
if discovered:
- Businesses involved in illegal activities
- Scams, fraud, pyramid schemes, or deceptive marketing
-
Adult content, gambling, or alcohol/tobacco sales (unless culturally
appropriate and legal)
- Hate speech, discrimination, or violence-promoting services
-
Businesses operating outside Shiroro without strong local relevance
- Fake, duplicated, or misleading listings
-
Any business reported for serious safety, hygiene, or ethical concerns
(verified by admin)
3. User Behavior Guidelines
While users cannot add businesses, we still expect respectful use of the
platform:
-
Do not harass, threaten, or abuse business owners or other users
-
Do not post fake reviews, spam, or misleading comments (if review
feature exists)
-
Respect privacy — do not share personal contact details of others
without permission
-
Report any listing that appears suspicious, unsafe, or no longer
operational
-
Use the app in good faith to support local businesses, not to harm
them
4. Reporting Issues
If you believe a listed business:
- Is no longer operating
- Has serious quality/safety issues
- Is engaging in illegal or unethical behavior
- Was listed in error
Please report it using the in-app feedback/report button (or contact the
admin team directly). We investigate all credible reports promptly.
5. Admin Rights & Discretion
The Shiroro admin team has final say on:
- Which businesses are included or removed
- Category placement and featured status
- Response to reports and complaints
- Any changes to these guidelines
We aim to be fair, transparent, and focused on the community's best
interest.
6. Changes to Guidelines
We may update these guidelines from time to time. The most current
version will always be available here. Continued use of the app after
changes constitutes acceptance.
